So right now I’m shredding large amounts of chicken breasts with a handheld mixer, but how do I do it without chicken flying everywhere? Is there a bowl with a lid that goes around a mixer?
I pulse mine in the food processor. My dog eats copious amount of chicken breast, roast and so on and that’s how I do it. Just enough to shred and not any more.
Taller bowl? Or a metal stock pot.
You can also shred in batches so the bowl is less full.
Just wrap plastic wrap around the bowl of your mixer. No cutting or extra purchases required

I have this! It’s amazing and useful when you have lbs of cooked chicken to shred.
I shred it in a large metal mixing bowl with a handheld mixer, and it’s not messy. On the other hand, when I used an immersion blender, it flew everywhere.
This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!
Whenever I’m using a mixer that’s full and I’m worried about making a mess I just drape a kitchen towel around it.
I use my hands. Probably takes very little extra time if you take into account plugging in, cleaning, drying and re storing the beaters.
Two forks
Just boil it…pulls apart with no resistance
With your fingers after boiling 😐
Let it cool and just use your hands.

Pressure cook. Depressurise and cool, then shake vigorously
This. I was so shocked at how easily it just shred when I shook my pressure cooked chicken in Tupperware
I cook 5 lbs in my instapot then I put half at a time in my food processor.
