Think I (28m Aus) can call myself an official runner — was in Sydney for a wedding over the weekend, and brought my runners, clothes, belt etc so I could do some runs while I was there haha. Got two in — morning of the wedding, and morning after!
Sydney is noticeably more humid than Melbourne though, so even though it was only 22C when I was running at 8am, the sun and humidity combo was a killer.
For a while I’ve been like “damn I wish I had the confidence to run shirtless”. With the humidity there, and the fact I wouldn’t see people running there again in my life, I got the confidence to take my shirt off both days which felt so good! On the Sunday I took my singlet off 1km in so kinda regret leaving my friends place in one, but also I was coated in sweat when I finished so actually not sure if the singlet would’ve helped. But I felt good without one, felt cool, felt happy, that’s a win.
Now I’m back home in Melbourne but I’m keen to get the rig out when it starts warming up here a bit more too!
Nice little personal journey for me. Sorry for the long post!
