  • Ever since I made goals to track time instead of miles, I’m more relaxed and less likely injure myself. I’m not counting races though, just the training runs. “5 miles? Uggh I have so much to go.” “50 minutes? I’ll just taking a 5 minute walking break, it will still count as part of my 50 minute run.” And because I took a break I’m able to recover better and sometimes make up for lost time by running faster the latter half.
