  • You’re never really ready for a marathon. Yeah, you’ll train for it, but it will bitch slap you still. 😬 Regardless, in the end it depends on how you want to finish. If you don’t care, go for it. Walking parts isn’t what we want to do, but we’ve all been there. If you want to finish relatively strong, stick to half marathons for another year or two. Seriously, time is key. Seek half PRs while you work on increasing mileage and incorporating speed work. I trained for half’s myself with plenty of long runs of 16-18 miles. That will get you into good marathon shape.
