Congrats!! I also followed Jack Daniel’s 2Q plan (modified week to week based on how I was feeling) in preparation for Philly and never ran more than 18 miles/3 hours. My first marathon I did a couple 20 miles runs so I was nervous as to how it would all shake out but was pleasantly surprised it went well. I think I may just stick to this philosophy moving forward. Glad it went well for you as well.
Funnily enough I also entered the Chicago lottery and am thinking the MCM will be my back-up if I don’t get in. Good luck :)
