Overslept for my morning run. Trying to keep vibes positive and not let it ruin the rest of my week! I already had to make some major modifications to my usual workout schedule because I have a crazy work week ahead, and it’s tempting to jump ship and resume next week…but I will not do that!!! Training for my very first race - a half - next June. I am finding it surprisingly difficult to run distances longer than 3 miles, because then I have to drop my pace down to 11-12 min mile. I like to think of myself as a relatively fit person and it bothers me that I’m such a slow runner right now. Trying to find the beauty in being a beginner.

Most people go through this realization as they start upping their distance that they are running to fast and need to slow down to put in more miles, don’t worry about it 11-12 us not that slow of a pace especially for someone training for their first half, I have done 4 half’s, 2 fulls and a 50k and my regular pace is still mostly 10-11 mins/mile.
