This is now my 44th Sunday meal prep of the year. My fiancée and I have gotten this down to a science. We recently thrifted and instapot and it is a complete game changer.
Meal 1: Mexican salad mix, ground beef, fire roasted veggies.
Meal 2: Asian salad mix, chicken
Meal 3: Chicken/beef, white rice, fire roasted veggies, and golden chanterelle mushrooms.
All the black containers are mine, 3 meals a day M-F. For all those who says these won’t be good by Friday, that’s is not true. Never had one issue this whole year prepping food for the entire week.
Breakfast is four eggs and an avacado cup.
All ingredients came from Costco and totaled just a little over $100.
If anyone is interested I can drop the links to the products I bought from Costco for this prep and also our process.
Happy prepping!
nice meal prep! that mexican salad mix with ground beef and fire roasted veggies sounds absolutely delicious. and it’s great that you’ve found a way to make it work for the entire week without any issues. i’d definitely be interested in the links to the costco products you used and your process. keep up the awesome prepping!
Looks really good and awesome but the 100$ a week on meals I’d say hell no to. My Mom makes hot meals almost every day after work slaving on the stove because left overs are usually not “good enough” for my Dad and he always asks what’s for dinner over the years to my Mom and I think it’s like 30-40$ just to make a meal a lot of times these days how the hell do they afford to? Don’t know how beneficial it would be health wise of each meal but the idea of spending 400$ or more a month just for food in this economy would have me steering far away from this post. It is really awesome don’t get me wrong but it not affordable. Especially when trying to save for a house and pay off a car loan.
Hi could you please send me all info for this I’m trying to nail down meal prep for bulking so trying to work out what way is best to do this. I am short on time so trying to find some meals I can make to improve my calorie intake.
Very very impressive but why 3 meals a day?? Don’t you and your fiancé cook together and make fresh dinner???
We have no problem just eating our prepped meal for dinner. We are just trying to avoid temptation. We save that for the weekends
really looks good!
I thought the same but thanks for clearing the doubt. I really love this meal plan. Looks so delicious!
Do you store this all in the fridge and they’re ok until Friday? I’d like to give some of these meals ago but am new to meal prep!
Hi! You have the recipes ? 🙃🙄
How did you deal with day old rice that sits on the fridge? When I do it the rice gets too dry any tips?
A wet paper towel over it if you are microwaving, which I rarely microwave. Or a splash of soy sauce when I heat it up in a pan.
How do you avoid that “gamey” taste when you reheat the chicken?
Never experienced that. When I cook it in the Instant Pot I add bone broth to it and the wood fire garlic spice. I shred it up and let it sit in the broth created by cooking in the instant pot. Comes out tasting amazing.
Thanks I’m going to try your tip next time!
Incredible. Are you on keto by chance?
No I am not but this could easily be tailored to a keto diet.
It’s a myth to cool food to room temp before putting in fridge. You can refrigerate right away.
So, you say 100$ Is that American? Because I’m fairly certain all that would cost me 250, 300 here in good on Montreal, Canada lol.
Awesome! Would love to see the grocery list
i hear you about the cold chicken, but the way they’ve separated the chicken makes it easy to just heat it up separately. i’m all for efficiency in meal prepping!
