Confession: I’ve never run a race and never plan to.
Complaint: I’m in one of those periods when I don’t enjoy running. But I always enjoy having run, and I don’t want to lose the habit, so I keep going. The enjoyment will return at some point, I’m sure.
What’s extra annoying is the the fall is the best weather for distance running, and I’m not making the most of it.

The fall is my favorite season to run
