So I’m a uni student wanting to do meal prep but at the moment my 20cm saucepan isn’t big enough as even 1kg chicken just likes on top and instead steaks instead of sears.

So I was hoping for what pot/pan you would recommend, preferably cheap/good value, induction safe and accessible in the UK.

I have seen all sorts recommended such as Dutch ovens, large sauce pans, large pots and sauté pans etc

I was thinking of just going with the stainless steel pot that IKEA has but just wanted to gather some more advice.

I intend to meal prep a variety of meals but my main meal are curries.

I usually meal prep with 1kg or more chicken.

Any help and advice for a meal prepping uni student would be appreciated.

I’m going to suggest you alter your process rather than invest in an absolutely monstrous pan that you may or may not have physical space to store. Brown your meat in batches. Sear it, then remove to a plate or bowl and sear the rest of it. Then add it back to the pan and finish cooking over lower heat. Same thing with your veggies - add the stuff that takes longer to cook first then add the rest of your ingredients.
