  • First time posting in one of these. Lost 50 lbs this year. In the best shape of my life at 32. Decided to start training for a half marathon a couple months ago and have been ramping up the miles slowly. My brother has been running marathons for a few years now and we’ve got our first run together planned for Sunday. It’s probably against all sorts of advice on training but we’re going for 13 miles. I’ve finished all my runs so far and felt like I could keep going. I want to see what I’m capable of. Either it’s a reality check in continuing my current training plan or I can revise my finishing goal for my first half next May. Either way I’m doing it and nervously excited about it.
