Can I give you some advice tho? Train to 26… rather than only to 20 as most programs outline. Mile 20, I felt fantastic and was on pace with my goal. But then I hit a wall.
It’s a total mind fuck at mile 20: you think, “I only have 6.2 more miles to go!!”… but then reality sets in, for me, 6 more miles equated to a little more than 45 min of running… which is a lot when your legs are rubber and you’ve already been running for a few hours! 😊
I’ve been downvoted for telling a first time marathoner to train to 26, rather than 20, so I guess that’s my hot take? 😂🤷♀️
