  • I find 6L is a good size for meal prep. Any basic induction-compatible pot will do.

    I like Cuisinart as a balance of affordable and quality, I assume they’re available in the UK. I have one All Clad pot that cost 4x more than my Cuisinart pot but I wouldn’t say it works 4x better.

    It’s slightly nicer to have a pan that’s full tri-ply. Some only have a disk on the bottom (you can usually tell because there’s a visible seam around the bottom, like this one instead of the whole pan having an aluminum core. The ones with only the disk are considered lower quality but they still work fine. For most of us average folks it just doesn’t matter. The biggest difference I find is that my stove buzzes slightly more with a disk-bottomed pan than with a full tri-ply pan.
