Hi everyone!

I’m a little nervous about trusting food products, etc., that claim to be “all natural”, “paleo”, etc. Are there any products that you do not trust to be all-natural, despite being advertised as such? If so, what makes you not trust it? Is there a certain ingredient that I should be aware of? I’m trying to learn about which sneaky products to avoid.

    Some people on paleo avoid things like xanthan gum & psyllium husk Personally if I don’t know what an ingredient is eg if it’s a really long word or numbers instead of a word I don’t want it

    You know, sweeteners are the place where I get sus. A little honey, maple syrup, molasses, etc seems fine (we’re more of a diabetic slow-carb diet than strictly paleo) but coconut sugar, sugar alcohols, stevia, erythritol, and all that stuff natural or otherwise perplex me when I’m trying to find a little something sweet at the store. Trying to keep it lower on the glycemic index

    You’ll make yourself crazy with this question. Eat mostly whole foods, limit processed foods, and don’t overthink or over complicate it.

    If it’s in a package I’d just read the label of ingredients and then base my decision on that available information. :)
