    Complaint: I don’t know if Garmin just hates z2 runs or something, but I’ve been taking it easy this past week for the holidays and not going on any hard runs, but my vo2 max dropped from 45 to 40. I’ve been running for about a year now, and to just see it drop off like that in a week is just really disheartening. Wasn’t fast to begin with and now I just feel depressed. I know I shouldn’t be putting so much stock into a number, but man. Just a kick in the nuts I didn’t need right now.

    Confession: I hate hard runs, but I really need to do them.

      If it makes you feel better, I’ve been training semi-seriously for two summers and my VO2 on Garmin is totally unchanged despite getting noticeably fitter and faster.
