My blood started clotting towards the end of it so they had to end early, but I still managed to donate enough for the donation to be usable!

I hate platelet donations. They take forever, and I get called for another donation in less than a week. I’m used to donating double units of red blood (O-).

Hey, double red is necessary too, and whole blood is the recommended donation for O- folk, so it’s all fine!

I think I called up the Red Cross sometime after my first few donations and told them to put me on the do not call list and haven’t received a call since! Do you donate elsewhere, or did you call up and they are still bothering you? Either way, my sympathies

I donate at a local blood institute. I didn’t mind them calling me, but after my first platelet donations they only call me about platelets. I didn’t have time for that, I’ve got a 2yo and one on the way. Gimme the quicker donation that lasts longer.
