I did maybe 3 sets of bicep curls before leaving for blood donation. I typically take 10 minutes-ish to finish a whole blood donation, but I seem to be more around 5–7 minutes when I do even a bit of arm exercise beforehand. Nothing heavy, I’m still new to weightlifting. So I’ll probably keep doing this! (Of course, no heavy lifting after the donation, as per the recommendations of the phlebotomists.)

I do wonder if “pumping iron” also helps on the hemoglobin tests…?
