Any controversial/unpopular opinion that you may have in regards to running My hot take is that Adidas shoes > Nike
minus-squarepowderjunkie11@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·11 months agoInteresting, I find the first 10 minutes to be the worst…or is that what you mean?
minus-squarewlievens@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·11 months agoWhen the first 10 minutes are terribly, they are lying. When the first 10 minutes tell you it’s super easy today, they are also lying.
minus-squareWormvortex@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·11 months agoTook me almost 6K into my 12K run yesterday to actually feel good. After that point I felt great.
minus-squareSedixodap@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·11 months agoThe fitter I get, the longer into my run it takes for me to start feeling okay. It’s like a punishment for being able to run farther.
minus-squareIndependentHeight685@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·11 months agoI remember an old long distance runner telling me she never knows if a run will be good or not till she hits 8km.
minus-squareNatasEvoli@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·11 months agoI ran my first half marathon this year and mile 12 was my fastest mile. Started feeling pretty good at mile 8 and it kept improving from there. Not sure why the body works like that.
minus-squareCatchaRainbow@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·11 months agoExactly what I mean, powerjunkie. It’s actually the first 20 minutes for me now, as I’m 66 yoa.
