Complaint: Ran my first half marathon/race 4 days ago. Post-race sadness is real. I have no idea what to do next.
Confession: I am so motivated by structure and training plans that I’m not sure if I can “just run”.
Uncomplaint: I still can’t believe I ran a half marathon. I started running in June and could barely do a 13 minute mile. Completed 13.1 at 12min pace. That was amazing and I am so proud of myself.
You can always have a plan/routine just for the structure, i will normally just repeat the same weekly routine till I’m ready to start training for another race, just pick a week from your training plan that feels comfortable and put it on repeat.
Side quest idea: Start trying to run every single street in your city—keeping track of your progress by connecting your Strava account, Garmin account, or Runkeeper account to CityStrides. I’m doing so right now and it quickly moved from side quest to main quest. lol. It’s quite addicting.
Took it out of my overall running worksheets and removed all the chicken scratch, but there’s nothing terribly interesting about it:
The empty parts at the end are just Pfitz plans. As you can see, a lot of it is just stacking Pfitz plans on top of each other, but I’ve made more modifications in the near term where I know that I have trips and vacations.

I have my next 2 years of runs “planned out.” Obviously, I don’t expect to follow it 100%, but I’m definitely not a just run person myself.
I’d like to see your calendar!

My wife has just finished a Garmin Coach half marathon training plan with no plan to run a half marathon. She just enjoyed having the structure.
