Tracking pace and distance in kilometres is far superior to miles.
I kind of see what you’re going for here. I’d say it more like don’t spend hundreds of dollars on tech to get an edge you could simply get from another 4-6 weeks of training. If it’s your first half, you don’t need the super shoe - just keeping training more.
I’m curious about low long most people think shoes can be used and how much further you think they can be used. For reference, my thought is: 400k: want to replace 500-600k: should replace 700-800k: these are toast but good to have some bad weather options on hand.
Races need to stop including shirts in the kit. Drives up cost for the race and participants. Wasteful as the tech shirts from print shops have become such poor quality.
