felt some of the bad pain in my ankle on my wednesday run. i made the mistake of trying to up my weekly volume too fast. it doesnt hurt very much but i know its a “dont push me im already close to the edge” pain so i took 2 days off. hoping i can get back to it tomorrow, i have so much pent up energy.

Confession: I love to dance, and running to 170-180 BPM music is just dancing for me. I missed my run this morning and was basically just dancing and wiggling with my headphones on all morning
Complaint: Jesus Christ I need to eat so much God damn food or else I feel like I’m whithering away. I’m Hovering around 3,200 calories a day between ultra training and my normal gym routine.
I run through rural orchards/back roads, yesterday this jackass swerved into me and I had to bail into the bushes or else I would have gotten hit. I tossed my water bottle at his driverside window and cracked the glass and he just sped off, but didn’t think to get his license plate. I’m still shook a few days later tbh. I run these back roads specially because there is such little traffic.
Two weeks ago I upped my weekly volume too quickly and got an overuse injury in my ankle.
I run because I get insomnia if I don’t get a heavy workout in everyday, but because I didn’t run, I couldn’t sleep.
Then I got sick because I wasn’t sleeping.
I finally got over it three days ago and am starting to run again after 10 days off. I finally feel healthy again and my runner’s high all day feels like a celebration of health. I feel great, I am relaxed and focus, good blood flow. Being able to run every morning is something I will forever be thankful for.
