Confession and complaint: I made a crucial mistake at the mile 3 aid station in my half on Sunday that completely messed up my fueling strategy for the rest of the race. Because of this I also wound up taking 3 30second walk breaks between mile 11.5 and 13. I’m extremely disappointed in myself for not running the whole thing, which was my goal.
Uncomplaint: I still managed 2:22:18 which isn’t bad for my first and starting with the 2:25 pacer. I’ll have more opportunities to grow and get better

Well done… 13.1 miles is a long way, you did it! What’s your 5k/Parkrun time?..
sounds like you “just” need to do more miles, all easy pace (or as easy as you can manage)
Don’t rush it, overall 10% a month will do wonders, consistancy and volume beat “workouts” (whatever the young lads claim)
