Complaint: shin splint still hurt. Increasing cadence is an interesting experience but maintaining a high cadence while staying in zone 2 is a tough game to play.
Confession: I still run despite my shin splints. If they get worse I will stop running but for now, I have decided to run through them. Learning a lot about stretches, foam rolling etc I also think I am starting to be “addicted” to running and suffer from withdrawal during rest days. So stopping running because of shin splint sounds like a terrible experience.
Kt tape has helped me alot with shin splints. Also zero drop shoes can do wonders for shin splints as long as you can get used to them first. Keep stretching
