Its a real thing called ”runners high”, alot of happy chemicals are released inside and the one i can personally feel the best is increased confidence.
To me that’s the main reason to run or to do any exercise. My husband says he never gets that good feeling after exercise and I feel very sorry for him because I feel great for about two days after a run!
I’m a behavior interventionst at an elementary school and one of my students was refusing gym class. I asked why and he said he didn’t want to run. I asked why not, and between sobs he said “because it makes my throat hurt, and it makes me miss my mom!”
Same, little dude. Exactly how I feel during every single run.
I do not like it
I hate heart disease more than running.
But you gotta look it the right way.
Runing doesn’t like you either.
Running likes no one.
Running doesn’t even like world class athletes. So why would it care about little people like us
Me before running: “can’t wait for my run today!”
Me while running: “Jesus fuck why do I do this to myself”
Me after running: “can’t wait to do that again!”
Pre Run - Fuck I don’t wanna do this but I’ll feel better if I do
First 20% of Run - Ok this is terrible I’m going to walk
20% - 70% - Hey this isn’t terrible maybe I’ll pace up a bit
70% - 90% - Fuck why did I pace up I’m gonna die
90% - Post Run - Holy fuck I feel good
When I’m not running, I want to be running. When I’m about to run, I do not want to run. When I am running, it’s pretty cool.
I never ever regret my runs and enjoy it too. But I detest getting out for a run
Well said! Hahah
This needs to be a t-shirt lol
This perfectly sums up my experience in decades of getting out the door.
Same except once it starts I can’t wait until it’s over.
What about green eggs and ham
I do not like them Aware-Salamander-578, I do not like green eggs and ham.
I really enjoy the feeling of having just ran though.

I’ve been running on and off for 14 years or so. I’ve run three half marathons. I have never in my life experienced a runner’s high.
I’ve also been severely depressed that entire time, so maybe that has something to do with it. I don’t know.
I got a hit of the bliss mid-run for a solid 10 minutes this saturday, it was such a wonderful high, but weird timing
The best bit of running by far
I don’t think that is a hot take. Warm at most.
