It doesn’t have to be a sport catered to morning people. I live in SE US so i get wanting to get it all in before the heat, but I also like sleeping in past 9:30 occasionally and don’t want to wake up at 5 am for a run group or race just to participate. Seriously what’s with all these 7 am starts?
Agreed, especially now. We had a big group run on Saturday at 0700. It’s been 0700 all summer, which is understandable due to the heat, but come on, it’s November…can we make it at least between 0800-0900?! Let people sleep in!

What I wouldn’t give for a race to start right before sundown!

I did the Broadwater Grunt run this year - a semi-technical 20k through dusty scrubland and dry forest. It started at 3pm.
It was great, except for the low sun blasting straight into your eyes from 430 onward.
As a night owl, I wish I could upvote this a thousand times. I can barely think until 11am, let alone run.
