Was supposed to get in 5.5 miles today in preparation for the 10k next Saturday. Well, less than a mile in I started feeling pain around my Achilles. Stopped to walk a bit and then felt it move up behind my knee with ever step. So, a walk back to my car and now I’m home with some ice. Thankfully, I have done 5 miles so far so I should be good next weekend. It is a race I’ve done before so I know the route and know it won’t be crazy slants like my last race.
Complaint: a mile into this morning’s run and I started having pain from my heel to the back of my knee. Had to walk back to the car and head home. Sad because today’s weather was perfect for a 5 mile run.
Confession: yesterday I fell off the weight bench at the gym. Yep, you read that correctly. Was looking at something when I went to sit on the bench, misjudged how wide it was, had on slippery leggings and it was a newer bench so it was slippery too.
Uncomplaint: The morning weather this week has been perfect for runs. A little chilly, no humidity…just the way it should be.
