My hot take is that Adidas shoes > Nike

Oh god, I sweat buckets doing that. But it is nice to turn your brain off and not have to think about pace.

This is the only hot take.

I partially agree with it. For me, the amount of uncertainty caused by weather is generally compensated by the availability of a treadmill.

There are almost no weather conditions that would make me switch to a treadmill, I hate it so much. The only times I do are when it’s dangerously icy out, or storming badly. Usually in the case of storms I just wait or reschedule.

All my weekday runs need to be on a treadmill because it’s all my job/family life will allow and I get SO MUCH shit from my running group (that I run with outdoors on weekends) for it. But I swear it makes me an overall better runner and more consistent with my pacing.

Doesn’t hurt that I also beat every one of those naysayers in the last marathon we did by quite a bit, so hey, proof is in the pudding 🤷‍♀️

I had to scroll way too far to find this! I so much prefer to run in a climate controlled room, zoning out to my favorite show, have my speed maintained for me, water at hand, bathroom right there if I need it. It’s the best!
